The Provost is the civic head of Falkirk Council and chairs the meetings of Falkirk Council.
The current Provost of Falkirk Council is Robert Bissett, who was elected to serve as Provost at the meeting of Falkirk Council on 25 May 2022. The Provost is assisted by Depute Provost David Balfour.
As the civic head, the Provost will meet with visitors and dignitaries to the area. The Provost represents the Council and the people of Falkirk at a variety of events and ceremonies in addition to hosting events and ceremonies in Falkirk.
