Stellar stand-up Russell Kane brings his new show to FTH (Falkirk Town Hall) on Thursday 11 August at 8pm.

The Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner (2010) returns to the Fringe with his brand new show Manscaping but Falkirk audiences can get a sneak preview. The night before his new show opens in Edinburgh he’ll give his last preview at FTH.

He will mercilessly explore the ridiculous state of masculinity in the modern world. He shaves his chest fur; you watch and laugh.

In the last year Russell has achieved what no other comedian has managed - winning both the Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award and the Barry Award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, the two most prestigious prizes in comedy, with his stand-up show Smokescreens & Castles (the DVD of which will be available in November).

His exhausting schedule for the last year has seen him become a regular on TV and radio, appearing on a host of shows including Mock the Week (BBC Two), It’s Your Round (BBC Radio 4), A Good Read (BBC Radio 4), The Graham Norton Show (BBC One), 8 Out of 10 Cats (Channel 4), Live at the Apollo (BBC One) and who can forget when he stormed into the Let’s Dance for Comic Relief (BBC One) final following a bootylicious performance of Beyoncé’s Crazy in Love - watched by 7.56m on BBC One? He also starred as the series regular on all six episodes of ITV1’s flagship comedy showcase, Comedy Rocks with Jason Manford and returned to the Jungle to co-host the TRIC-award nominated I’m A Celebrity. . . Get Me Out of Here Now! (ITV2). Russell’s new radio show Russell Kane’s Whistle Stop Tour will air in August on BBC Radio 2. He even found time to write a play:’ The great British Country Fete’ for the Bush Theatre

"Russell Kane's level of ability is amazing... His act combines huge energy and a freak physicality with a rapidly delivered torrent of remarks... Here's a performer with the instincts of a rabble-rouser." Malcom Hay, Time Out

"Many comics feign weirdness, but this is the closest to the real deal: a breathless, raging, feral act... Probably the most exciting comic discovery of the year." Steve Bennett, Chortle

Tickets are £10 and can be booked from the central box office at the Steeple, Falkirk on 01324 506850 or online from ticketweb.co.uk
