Civil partnership registration and ceremony
A civil partnership registration can take place in a registration office or an agreed venue within the Falkirk Council area. You don't have to have a ceremony; however, most couples choose to do so as a way of celebrating with their families and friends.
We can help you organise your ceremony so that it's exactly what you want. You can choose your own vows or declarations, readings, and music to personalise your ceremony the way you want it. Please remember that there must be no religious content.
Our civil partnership ceremony booklet offers more information:

Making arrangements for the civil partnership ceremony
It is important to make early arrangements for the date and time of your civil partnership.
You should make a booking with the Registrar (Life Events) and arrange for two people, aged 16 years or over, to act as witnesses at the registration.
Please let us know if you make any changes to your plans or decide to postpone or cancel your civil partnership registration.
Converting a civil partnership to marriage
From 16 December 2014, couples in a civil partnership registered in Scotland will be able to convert their civil partnership to a marriage.
