Future office solution found? Check.

Work to transform one of our new buildings underway? Check.

The building’s name reflects a modern council? Erm … well … about that …

We’ve identified some vacant office accommodation – currently known as the former Thomas Cook building or Block 4 in Larbert. We’re converting it to a modern office and resilience hub, which will be used as an interim solution for the Council pending work on the new office HQ.

The building needs a new name – what should we call it?

As many of you will spend part of your working week in the building once restrictions ease, we’d like you to come up with a new name for it.

Your suggestion might be inspired by the local area, our new council priorities, our RITA (responsive, innovative, trusted and ambitious) values, or something completely different.

Entering is easy; just send your suggested name alongside your work contact details in an email titled ‘New office name’ to councilofthefuture@falkirk.gov.uk no later than Friday, 29 January.

The competition is open to all employees – not just those who will use the office space - and you can submit as many suggestions as you’d like.

Once all suggestions are in, a shortlist will be prepared for employees to vote on their preferred name via an online poll. This name will be confirmed at a meeting with leaders of the Council’s political groups.
