COVID-19 has transformed how we work - a significant number of us are now working from home, we’re using technology to connect and collaborate in new ways, more of our services are being offered digitally than ever before.

The work of our asset team has also highlighted we have too many office buildings that are in poor condition, are costly to run and emit too much carbon. All these facts have an impact on the way we will work in the future and on the amount and type of office space we’ll need moving forward – and they potentially impact on our needs for an HQ & Arts Centre.

That is why a report outlining options to move the HQ & Arts Centre project forward will go before Elected Members at a meeting of the Council on 30 September. You can read the report on our website now.

No decision will be taken on the options until the meeting. We’ll keep you informed of the outcome as soon as we can.
